When I was little, picking up a pencil and drawing was the only thing I could do to calm myself down and stop being retarded (ADHD/Anxiety)

Right now, I'm in university, and the pressure is immense, but it keeps me going. Especially when you use art to cope it's a whole different world, and when it calms you it calms you.

It's the same with everyone really, you have to have an intense amount of drive and passion to be able to make it in this field. But as long as you know that you end up back on that pencil, on that paper, you'll be fine.

also protip: listen to podcasts, not music. music is a bit more distracting lol. https://theamazingdigitalart.tumblr.com/post/154558264974/6-inspiring-art-podcasts-for-digital-artists

I also listen to bancroft brothers podcast.

this was what I put in here that I was proudest of but the admissions counselor berated me for using line-of-action and said to draw more from real life.

Which, well, I can't blame her. But I needed something to *show* in terms of figure drawing (what she requested).

This was ~7 minutes.
