well i've only tried it out a little bit so it's mostly first impressions, might be colored by the novelty of trying out something new.

but...
the first thing it does is ask you to make some lines with varying pressure and calibrates your pressure sensitivity based on that.
I feel like the brush strokes don't layer as harshly / messy, as they've always done for me in photoshop.
It responds well to the tilt of the pen, allowing you to use the side for softer and wider strokes, a bit like using the side of a pencil for shading (guess that depends on the tool you use)

Just download the trial, try out a bunch of tools and make up your own mind.
