If that feeling bugs you a lot, you could try Fujita Kazuhiro's approach - he does his sketches very roughly and sets down just the minimum amount of details you need (pose, proportions etc.), and on top of that he draws the actual lines.

With this method, you don't have to rely on your undersketch as much for the details, but the drawback is that you very much have to ad-lib it. Try it out though
