The issue is that there are way too many artists and no efficient way to filter out the trash.

Itaku launched a few months ago and it's pretty much dead even with over 100k users.
Content wise it's the worst of DA mixed with shitty twitter posting styles.

Twitter is by far the best there is to also reach a non-artist audience, because those are the people you want to reach, not other artists.

And you don't use twitter as your main gallery, you want to redirect people to your patreon, blog or website.


Personally, i never really "used" twitter as much as others and stopped using it completely just because i simply do not care about anything that gets posted on that platform, nor do i care about anything e-celebrities do.
I kept blacklisting topics and hashtags but i still get that shit recommended.
And everything else was just shit of things i was interested in but not actually interesting to interact with.

And most posts are ads by companies or retards trying to farm clout.

Best way to use any kind of social platform in 2022 is to post your shit, market and advertise your shit and not actually use it for personal entertainment or farm clout by posting retarded shit.
Don't follow anyone. Post your work. Post your patreon/fanbox/onlyfans or whatever the fuck.
Say thank you and like their post when people praise you and ignore all others except if they want to give you money.

In general, social media platforms are "okay", it's the userbases that suck ass.

I do periodically come to the major threads and try to help whoever is desperate for some feedback.
Anons just need a push to be able to stand on their own legs.
It usually works out and they don't need the threads that badly anymore.
Also it really depends on the work; if i can see the original vision and the potential of the image, i will help. If the image is alright on it's own, there is no need to intervene.
And by helping, you yourself might learn a few things.
Other anons might feel the same.
