This is some weird-ass devotion you have to defending Ilya, my friend. I don't understand it.

>except he never traced any body, and you are proving your ignorance by repeating this meme.
>It could be that it was a cgi model, and he was simply asked to overpaint the face and that's it - and it pretty much looks like that to me.
Don't contradict yourself.

Obviously he did not draw that body. It is completely amateur the way those gestures come off and they look painfully stiff. I know most of Ilya's work is portraits and that can definitely explain why his faces are his signature. But he is not very talented, and needing to use 3D models, (read: you admitted it looks like a 3D model) is no sign of him having skills. Any decent artist can do what he did here.

The main point is, his popularity got him here. Not skill.

He did not animate for this show, and his contribution is the exact same thing he does regularly. He drew a pretty girl with a bob haircut, and made several variations of it for the show.

>Director certainly thought it was fine
ILYA DIRECTED THE ENDING CREDITS, OF COURSE IT WAS FINE FOR IT TO END UP LIKE THAT
