Hey bros, /beg/ here learning shading. Tried hatching and linework with a dip pen over a pencil sketch. Hatching was interesting, but linework with the pen felt very uncomfortable and my lines were shaky, not sticking to the pencil marks. I feel like dip pens only work properly on downward-facing motions so I have to twist my hand into uncomfortable angles a lot for any curve. Also often cant see where it's going because it gets in between my eyes and the pencil lines. As you can see theres plenty of line mistakes. I guess its just not as forgiving of shaky hands as a pencil is. Maybe I should switch to my Wacom and use the stabilizer?

Any advice?
