These are much more in the vein of construction than gesture. Try to break things down to literally just motions - not even volumes. Don't try to get a lot of perspective into it (VERY few wrapping lines are enough).

Start with around 10 (or fewer) very long, flowy lines - it should take less than a minute when you're up to speed (but if you need longer take it). Try to find the longest line that flows through the pose and get it first.

Gesture can build in complexity until you have 2-5 minute "quick sketch" drawings which depict certain anatomical landmarks, basic tone lay in etc. but the root of gesture is understanding the flow of the pose. Exaggeration is encouraged but not required.

You do NOT need to be able to recreate the reference image from the gesture. At most it should be clear enough that someone could be told to "pose like this" and understand vaguely where their body parts should go.
