After three, continuous days of struggling, I may have just found the answer to a problem I'm having, though it will likely entail a dramatic restriction on dimension size (probably around the ballpark of 4000*4000 maximum, 10 MB limit). The alternative is investing approximately $225 - $475 minimum per month for more memory, and while I've bought into the STEM memes, I'm not made of money. Maybe ten years later when I'm drowning in Patreon-bucks and merch sales. Man can dream, right?

There are other alternatives. I could consider severely lossy processing (but that may not solve the problem of initial memory encumbrance), and/or auto-conversion of heavy pngs to jpegs. Going off of Imgur's policy as a reference and inspiration, DA seems to have an extremely liberal policy (200 fucking MB if you designate a picture as photography). https://help.imgur.com/hc/en-us/articles/115000083326-What-files-can-I-upload-What-is-the-size-limit-

Based on the approach that I take, this may inadvertently fix the duplicate submission issue, which, I have suspected, is the result of bugs due to memory crashes due to hefty file upload sizes.

However, this means an impact to the end user at the end of the day, and I really, REALLY need to know what's important to artists: I don't want to screw you guys over unnecessarily. As far as file size restrictions (currently set at 10 MB), lossy/quality degrade processing (not implemented), or automatic downsizing, I'd like to know what you'd consider inconvenient impact. Or, conversely, if you simply don't care, because all the files are on your computer anyway and DAD is meant to just keep track of your habits.

but god damn holy fuck these past few days of documentation scouring and headbutting keyboards has got me so frustrated that if i was a cartoon stuffed animal i'd pop a seam on my cheek from the steam coming out of my ears FUCK

Be honest. If there was a tier 0, would I be sitting in it?
