A lot of people already mentioned it but I've been doing dynamic sketching for just over 3 weeks (started around 17th Jan). You can find the schedule here >>3776598.

>What books/other sources did you learn from?
I initially fucked around with draw a box from the 3/4th Jan, but only did the first two lessons, watched some videos from ctrlpaint trad but yeah dynamic sketching is definitely what I'd recommend.

>How often do you draw?
Initially I did a fair bit for the first week of dynamic sketching because it's easier to do a lot of pages of that stuff, like I did ~10 pages of organic forms until I really understood the basics, did a lot of plants, maybe 3-4 every couple of days, takes me around 1-2 hours. I can't grind for hours like heaps of people here suggest, I just drew when I felt like it but because I noticed I was having a lot of days where I did nothing, I signed up to DAD a few days ago to give me more routine.

>What supplies did you use to make the stuff on the right?
I don't know what to specifically call the pens etc but they're all listed in the videos and probably the threads. Paper is toned tan paper and it's expensive so I draw on both sides haha.

My advice to why I learned quickly:
- Feedback! Very important, post your work and actually listen to critiques. If you get offended, it doesn't help you improve, you have to be open to listening to why you suck.
- Think about what you're trying to draw and try and imagine it in parts. Break the forms down and really imagine them in 3D, imagine how they fit together and wrap around each other - I feel like visualization is a very important skill.
- If you get stuck look at examples or find videos that offer extra explanations.

Pic related has the very first plant I drew when doing dynamic sketching start of week 2 and then one I drew a couple of days a go (still shit) but you can see how I'm slowly refining my drawing process and measurements.
