If you didn't know, you can type "sage" (without quotation marks) onto the options tab right under name when posting, making it so your reply doesn't bump the thread to the top of the first page/catalogue. This way, you can reply to a thread and still have it slowly make its way to the last page where it will eventually disappear. This is especially important for slow boards such as /ic/ where threads don't fall off as frequently, leaving some to linger for weeks longer than they should.
