Isn't that panel supposed to be intentionally filled with words? To convey that this lady has verbal diarrhea and can't stop/won't stop talking?

As for how your characters are developed, you don't have to use one of those "plan out your character" reference sheets, but it never hurts to do that as well. It can also be a nice exercise in drawing procrasti- a nice exercise in thinking about what makes your characters tick. I came across this one and it was fun to try to answer the questions.
