I'm so fucking hype to draw manga bros. Gonna put a oneshot out next year.

WHY DO I PAY FOR THIS SHIT

Draw a Box stuff is adamant on you drawing confident and smooth lines from your shoulder. Every time. And a common advice is "don't chicken scratch - don't try and guess where the line is. just think before adding whatever line"

However, some guy on skillshare says "just draw the lightest lines you can manage". Not EVERY line he draws is going to make it to the end, he's just building on top of them, slowly, refining them, until they look good enough.

My question as a beginner is, I know these rules exist for a reason and I adhere to them when I'm studying, but ultimately, isn't this fucking BULLSHIT? Like if I get a lump of SHITE and start drawing Mona Lisa with my toes who the FUCK will care if I "ghosted my lines" or drew them using my shoulder?
