I use Paint Tool Sai and an XP Pen 15.6. The XP Pen is alright, not as intuitive as my Companion, but it gets the job done.

I currently sit at 1,432 on DA. Drawing primarily pony art helps a ton, but only to a point as not many folk commission me. Exposure does not guarantee income.

Oh yes, I agree, this is a very messy piece. I think I just started throwing color down and it slowly fleshed out into something a bit more decent. But of course, the ugly, smudgy parts are still there. Is pic related better? It's a more recent study.

Thanks for the crit! Out of curiosity, is it bad because color on a black background is contrarian to the light source? Or is it just lazy?

My drawings are shite. Have some digital exercises instead.

Oh fuck sorry guys this was for /an/. Well since we're talking about birds, here's some of my bird art:

I wouldn't say people respect me, except a few close friends and family, but people are generally pretty positive when I mention I draw or they come to me when I'm drawing in public. That's not often though. The point is, the artwork is more popular than I am.
