I think the migest things you can do are remove the unnecessary wrinkles around the mouth and change the mouth so that it follows the form of the face.
More lines on the face = older, generally, when you're doing cartoons. If you want something to look youthful and cute if often helps to simplify the facial features so that they are simple, clean shapes without any excess lines around them.
You should also always remember that the face isn't 2d, it's curved. When you think of the mouth you shouldn't think of it like it's sitting on a table, it should wrap around the shape of the face like it was a cylinder.
