Well for starters you can actually try to make a character sheet for the bloody character(pic related) if you are actually serious about developing a character. Exploring with doodles is fine and all but you want to have a consistant look to rely on.

As for other aspects in regards to actual character design its hard to comment on because the way you describe him is simply just being an overly shy person. It doesnt sound like a person who has a history.Where does he come from? Was he always a part of the world without males or did he get dragged into it by some unforseen apocalyptic event? If it was something like an apocalyptic event, what was he like before and how could that history influence the design elements? Based on what I see the bastard is wearing a school unform right? So he must have been suddenly dragged into this situation right? Being able to answer these questions should help influence the design(as well as help add more depth to your basic ass premise).

Look, just from a pure drawing perspective, I'd say just give her a "proper" hairstyle that actually exists. Having a ponytail and a braid feels like too much, and that braid you drew doesnt actually have a point of origin and makes the design needlessly assymetrical for no reason.

But here is the way I see it. Based on what Im shown, this is clearly his own type of disguise right? To blend in with the other girls? With that ,what you actually want is what he would dress like NORMALLY without needing to blend in. What you are showing us now is basically the DISGUISE of the character, what he needs to wear to blend in. His NORMAL get up will serve as a means to show us what he dresses like normally and how he is in his most comfortable state, and it can also serve to contrast from the DISGUISE.The clothes and how he styles his hair can be slightly feminine too,but it should show what hes like before having to put on a schoolgirl uniform.Think like Mulan but in reverse.
