I am 24, have a good chunk of change that I could support myself on for several years. I have a career I am interested in persuing that involves drawing but not much fine rendering, in stained glass painting. Would it make sense to try to join an atelier? I would be after probably a 2 year program, as the ateliers I've seen focus on plaster / bargue cast with little attention to color and fine rendering in the first couple years. My other question is could I even make it into an atelier being relatively old and still a beginner? Picrel was the drawings I did most recently.

Plugged along a bit further into Bridgman Bootcamp by Marshall Vandruff. Tried making my proportions deal based on Spike Spiegel but my reference photo had too much foreshortening so I am unhappy with how it came out and will likely try again tomorrow with a different reference.
