move in with parents/family, get a part-time job for expenses and contribute some to the household, and use your free time to build a solid portfolio. it's 100x harder to transition into an art career while working a full-time job, especially if the job isn't art or design related. you need time to practice as well as build your visual library. working part-time allows you to read more, visit museums/libraries, and focus on your design skills.
