They key is always to find a way to simplify things and break it down to smaller steps. Find your lines before you start drawing the body's silhouette or shape or details. That should be the last thing you do.

First try to plan (box in) the whole figure from head to toe, put down some points where the top and bottom ends will be then halfway put a point where the crotch will be. then put don the line for the spine and the limbs and maybe a square for the head. Look the body where you can use your measurements like how the knees and elbows usually at the halfway point of the limb, and if the two limbs are beside each other which make them roughly equally long. Look at how the body is positioned, usually people stand in a balanced way or else they would fall over, it helps if you learn to find where is the center point of the body's weight is on a glance. That way you can position the limbs and the mass of the body easier and find your angles easier.

That is good, try to make your poses with less lines. It will make you more confident in your lines and forces you to be more efficient. Using as few lines as possible also lessens the strain on your arm/hand which is a factor you should keep in mind.

Quickposes is about being quick with capturing the basic construction of the body and thus building your familiarity with how it is build how it looks, moves and behaves. Details are not needed nor important, if you find yourself having extra time to make details then it you should consider lowering your timer.

Here is how I used to do it. First just put down the general positions of the body head, pelvis. foot Second find the key directions and places of the limbs and the spine using the point on the first. Third block them and build the shape. Fourth, minor details but that is as far as you need to go.
