For comparison those are my sketches. I feel bad just by looking at those and my will to draw is going down because I am getting worse, any tips?

Tried to do those to get more loose with drawings and better at sketching but the end result is atrocious compared to my finished drawings. Also, would you recommend to study gesture and anatomy first or composition and linework since I generally know people around here are aware of my art? I started practicing gesture recently but I have a lot to learn in terms of proportions

Any tips for getting better and sketching and more interesting subject matters? I did those to flesh out more of my characters but the end results is flat and pretty atrocious. Also how do I learn how to implement perspective and foreshortening into my drawings?
