Porn unironically draws in traffic from users and keeps them scrolling and engaging with the platform for hours.

It's not in defense of adult content or musk, but having such content that drives a noticeable majority of traffic and engagement, is beneficial to the site because it makes numbers go up and investors invest and advertisers advertise.

There are still millions of porn sites.
The problem isn't porn itself, it's people substituting the need for affection with porn consumption and most of them being mentally unstable.
Porn and its consumption would be the symptom here which gets enabled by being tolerated and exploited for engagement on social media sites by those who run them.
Not to mention the countless porn bots, scammers, etcetera that are always active in adult niches + the push to expose kids to adult content by most people in the adult industries to generate future consumers or for short-term gain i.e. twitch streamers shilling their OF to kids.

Well, if things go on like this, we will either see a total adult content ban in our lifetime or the total opposite which one might only speculate what it might spark.

People who draw and spam porn for money and clout and never stay in their adult lane, only worsen the situation.
