It's called "living in the US". I don't know what medicine he needs, but he's mentioned depression before. So let's take for an example that he takes anti-depressants, that's about 100 dollars per month depending on the type. Add bi-weekly therapy to that and you're already sitting on 300. Just getting your ass diagnosed easily costs you a few grand already. You're completely screwed if you need any medical assistance at all and you don't have money readily growing out of your butthole. Murrica.
