made a little collage visual aid, some mtg art that may help you, i could see this picture being on a card or something, idk if thats what you were going for but anyway remember to also make your art readable i.e. make silhouettes visible even when the picture is far away, make clear distinctions between background and foreground and subject etc. look up swatches on youtube he has some videos where he makes mtg art / crits other ppls art and explains thought process

somehow the position of the sword doesnt look natural. it looks quite heavy for a skelly like him, unless he posesses a ridiculous grip strength he would probably bend his arm a little, making the change in angle less steep and putting some of the load onto his upper arm like top right of pic rel.
with the other pictures the pose and angle of the blade to character, in combination with the pose, gives you information about the strength of the character as well as the weight of the sword/ the speed of the motion.
