I'm not quite sure just how to find the perspective in a figure or object. Or at least I can't come up with any sure-fire way to check if everything in a picture aligns appropriately.

I can make a perspective drawing from scratch, I just can't see it in something already present, especially if it's strangely shaped or oddly posed.

The only explanation I can come up with is breaking things into simple shapes and using lines to see where it all converges but then I feel like I need to simplify into specific shapes and draw them properly.
