Good thing about tattoo business is that you can get away with a lot of things. I've seen far worse than this tbh, and people doesn't care, they just want a tattoo.
You should keep on working on this, tattoo is a safe job field, work on your designs and you will be making money for sure.

About your angel, don't take my over piant as a "correction", but as an example of what I think a tattoo should express. You need to stylize objects to give them a solid and powerful appeareance. Like the wings on your drawing looks weak, and "dry", the feathers are too little and complex, you have to simplify everything.
Search the works of Leyendecker one of the best illustrators ever, see how simplify hair, clothes, anatomy, it's the perfect example to follow.

And as a final note, I don't know what kinda person is your friend, he shouldn't get a tattoo of a hot demon, if he still wants an angel/demon and he is a stright guy, your original design would be a mistake. It looks gay, and there's nothing wrong with that, but you have to be very aware of that sort of things. Because maybe some guys won't like your designs and you will not understand why. That's why you have to fill your head and visual library with all sort of styles, if you're going fot the tattoo business you should chec Frazetta and Luis Royo for starters. Good luck m8.
