I'm not even implying that drawing ugly, gross is bad, I'm saying that the extreme that they take is ironically no better and just as boring as drawing solely beautiful girls. All too often they make characters designs that has zero redeeming qualities with factory like precision and the messaging behind it some cookie cutter stealt coping with insecurities shit that became tiresome ages ago. Not to mention the 'realism' bullshit that they spout. Here's the thing about that shit, you're far, far more likely to ugly people put their best foot foward with grooming and decent or even plain clothing than you will see them draw attention to the fact that they're aren't attractive. Fuck I lived one of the biggest cities on earth my entire life, and I rarely see the retarded shit that tumblrfags love to pass as 'realistic'. Ugly =/= shit taste and don't project onto me because you think I'm projecting into others.

Is there a place for uglyness in art? I don't mean when one fucks up and didn't draw what was intended, I mean when people do a completely ugly drawing on purpose, knowing full well they could do something beatifull if they want to.
