Did anything cool happen on your adventures today? Care to share any secret painting breakthroughs?

I was pretty happy with today's failed experiment, because it pointed to a clear problem with how I was mixing my paint, and I'm going to try some different approaches tomorrow. I figure the first 10 or so days will be hard for all of us, especially those who are not used to traditional (yet alone traditional mediums outside). It's not supposed to rain until the weekend, but hopefully I can rough it out like those of you who've dealt with it already.

Yeah studying from life is pretty sweet! Its requires you to make a lot of confident decisions, and its nice not worrying about if the photo is over or under exposed, you're just simply working directly from source. Really hoping the excitement for working this way spreads and we can all have some neat experiences.

If you can find time to go out super early in the morning you can hopefully dodge a lot of the heat, sunrise and sunset can be extra challenging to capture though.
