>spill a whole-ass can of diet soda on (one of) my Intuos 3(s) last night
>unplug it immediately and wipe it down (pic related)
>end up plugging it in a half hour later
>dead spots in the top right area of the tablet where the spill occurred
>IT'S OVER
>unplug it again
>go to sleep and wake up
>plug in again and it works fine
WE ARE SO BACK

I'm not sure, I have both but I haven't really tested that and the newer model side by side. The only appreciable difference, I suspect, would be the surface texture (I'd anticipate the older one to be slightly more durable, sticking with the historical pattern-but probably not by much) and also I'm pretty sure the stylus for it still has the normal nibs and not their weird new proprietary ones that they made up to help prevent people from buying repros and improvising their own too easily.

It's not a preference, it's reality. The movements in your wrist can only be so subtle and freeing them up as much as possible can only be a good thing. The larger surface allows for wrist movements just fine, but it also allows for the inclusion of elbow and shoulder movements for longer strokes just-as you noted-in trad (is trad-like supposed to be a bad thing now? lol). This idea that the Large is "too big" when it remains smaller than nearly every model of screen tablet is a silly meme. If anything they should be bigger; we need 16x11 these days to keep up with today's display sizes. A medium may be usable but you're doing a long term disservice to yourself when there's this better option available.
