I really enjoy the look of your character! He has a ton of personality. I wouldn't go so dark with those shadows behind him, though. They're snagging too much attention. Don't go maximum contrast like that unless its a focal point.

Hey it looks good though! Keep it up. Yeah its hard learning construction regarding animal heads. There's no Loomis for furry. Just do what you can to study photos of actual animals and also study really good Disney artists and good furry artists in general.
