Best? Entirely dependent on what you want.
Personally I stick with pic related, exporting png as illustration at 20% size, cropping at the binding border if I'm publishing it online. But I'm basically always publishing online anyway so really there's no need bother with the bindings or anything, but I'm bothering just to make it smoother for myself if I ever want to print anything.
