I'm interested in getting the XP-Pen Deco Pro (gen2); thoughts?

Does anyone here use the big xp-pen pros(22/24)? If so what's your experience? I'm a poorfag so I can't get the good shit, which leaves me with either hueion or xp as alternative. Since the xp- pen is cheaper it's more available to me but if someone used both and in their experience thinks the couple of extra bucks for hueion is worth it I would obviously go for that
I do commissions as a side hustle and I want a more professional set up (I'm using the intuos 4 rn) and I'm interested in a screentablet

Well, that is up to us, really : while I agree that there's not much activity compared to v or other more active boards, the separation might slow it down or speed it up (because some anons are turned away from going here because of the fetish art)...

Moreso, why wouldn't these drawthreads all be linked to that board? This way the artists working on the requests could get critiques on their WIP before release.

You are using too much of the same color with little to no contrast, there isn't any clear message or intent behind the characters' movements (they just seem to be running around), there are quite a bit of anatomical mistakes in the figures, and your usage of colored pencils(?) without overall polish or rendering make it seem like a high effort notebook doodle in general.

From a bystander's perspective, it just looks like a bunch of military dudes arbitrarily strewn across the picture, and even that is hard to figure out at first glance. Instead of going for the "montage" imagery you seem to be going for, I suggest you stick to one of the various images on the page and depict THAT as a standalone piece.

I keep tabs on most threads on prices and such, both here and elsewhere, but it's so damn hard to get a decent, unbiased opinion.

There's people who say that Applibot pays X every time, and so on, but they actually change prices depending on the artist. Then you have pros spouting out things like a top professional should be making $3000 in a day easily, but they don't make the point that that's just the day they hand in the art they've been working on for the past two weeks, and it might be the only commission they get for a couple of months.

Then you have guys who try be helpful about saying how much they're making, to show how life as an artist is financially viable, like Dave Rapoza saying he made $9k a month, and that was before he started doing stuff for films which pay way more. But then again, that might have only been his best month, no one mentions the bad months or the ones taken as holidays, study time, etc.

And then you get the egomaniacs who thrive off off the fake-it-till-you-make-it phenomenom, guys like Noah and Jonas de Ro and Wotjek and such who claim to be making huuuge amounts of money from their work, but who knows.

When I make it pro I'll keep track off my finances meticulously for the first 5 years or so, and then make it all public on here. That's if either of us are still around of course.
