yeah i feel the same way! after seeing bandit's i realize i could have done much more professional formatting, a-and i might have taken less time than i should have with the rendering ouo'. if it's alright i might submit a second pass to dad with better formatting and a bit of polish for critique.
also i will do my best to improve my fundamentals. i think you were referring to the bad structure so yes i will get on that asap. thanks again wall-e

aha i dont know about a routine, but for the mech challenge i was just trying to flesh everything out. like, what does it do? where does the mech operate? how does the pilot use it? what's the pilot like? how does what the mech does affect the way the mech looks?
also i was very inspired by overwatches movement studies, i didn't do it so much for the mechs but i was trying to figure out how the characters might interact with space based on their personality. i just wanted them to feel organic ^u^!
