Honestly, I just FEEL like something is not right here. The shapes and accuracy to the contours of the original seem "correct" enough, and the colors look appropriate, but the way I'm applying my strokes to block out the clouds and the lake and the hill, I have this horrible feeling like I'm about to step on an artistic landmine that will force me to go back to the base colors for everything. Am I just worrying over tiny details because I can see them on the surface, and that's something to be resolved as the painting eventually builds up in layers? Or is there something to my strokes that needs to be rectified right this instant? The image has been shrunk to 50% and comprises of two separate canvases stitched together.
