Look at /fit/ and /v/, with their "this place was always shit" mindset, how much on-topic discussion is actually there?
Compare that with /a/, /a/nons fucking love their board and will vehemently fight back against the above sentiment. The board is filled with new TLs, /a/ groups picking stuff up, and anons talking about Anime and Manga.

When the general populace accepts that the place is shit, it's easier to derail threads and shit up the board

guess you could say that, but I doubt it. I just recently hit a brick wall of realizing I was severly colorblind, which for a short week made me want to switch back to concept work, but i've decided to stick with illustration since it's what I have the most fun doing. There's just something really appealing and fun about working on the same piece for a few weeks. We'll see in a few months or a year if you're wrong or right but in my honest opinion I think I've found what I want to spend the rest of my life doing, hope you do the same anon <3

unless you have a shit computer get photoshop and completely uninstall SAI.
SAI is a good program for beginners or for people who can't draw decent lines in photoshop either because of lag or lack of experience.
Photoshop is GOAT and you should learn it and get comfortable with it as fast as possible
