I don't know why people love this guy so much. sure technically it's impressive, but I can't stand this unpersonal classicism style. always the same feet, the same eyes, stiff composition, same everything.
it's all segments, formulas, no spontaneity

here in comparison we have Velazquez. look at the facial expression. this feels alive.
