Are you being disingenuous? You seemingly make an argument from ignorance, I respond with super common knowledge because it seemed like something you wouldn't have been aware of considering the previous criticism.

Yeah that's why I said (I believe). I knew that was a big part of Gauguin's criticism about him but couldn't remember which ones were supposed to be entirely from imagination.

Also is this a pissing contest? And are you projecting about me looking things up when it seems like you're actively looking things up? Technically, he was absolutely a better artist. But that's kind of the thing to me, is that nobody really gives a shit about who may be technically better if there's more interesting and entertaining shit out there. Some of the most successful and interesting artists in modern history were often shit at the art class fundamentals that artfags put on a pedestal.
