If you ever want to draw space marine armors you have two options either just copy existing picture and get a basic idea how they look like.

However as >>4233954 suggested I would agree it will serve you way more in the long term if you understand how armor works first and the challenges that come with it. We know how practical real life armor looks like and how "fantasy armor" which is unrealistic looks like.

Now take it from me that 40k armor VERY MUCH fantasy armor, in the sense that it is extremely impractical, it is probably one of THE most impractical armor in an current popular sci-fi/high-tech franchise. You can ask any cosplayers that worn one that it restricts even basic movements in many many of ways but we accept that suspension of disbelief because 40k's primary selling point is rule of cool.

But even so learning how armor actually functions, why are things shaped the way they, are how joins work, what is under and what is over, how the parts look in a 3D environment. It is not easy but it will give you great advantages of behind able to draw the armor in different poses or angles or even modify them as you see fit. Because as soon as you understand the underlying construction then adding the decoration and rule of cool elements becomes easy.

We can help you along the way so post more works/studies/questions you have as long as they are specific and not vague and all encompassing that would need a 200 page book to explain.
