If thats from imagination its actually pretty decent.
Obviosly anatomy is lacking but that might just be that you cant quite paint what you already know about it yet.

One should have some good understanding of anatomy and posing and drawing in general before painting, but if you want to go for painting now try taking very basic things and painting them. Very few exercises will teach you so much in how to approach something more believable.

Here are some of mine. Folded them out of paper and placed them before me when painting them. For me at least it feels like simpler things lend themselves better to learn.

If you want to improve your painting try picking a midtone and "carve" out more and more details to push it to the limits of your skill. You indicated the face very efficiently, not well, but with very few strokes that make it somewhat believable as a thumbnail. Aim to make your pictures believable when zoomed out, then when you dont know what to paint anymore, zoom in and place smaller strokes, then zoom in again and so on.
