I slightly agree with this, but let's be realistic; your work has probably no appeal whatsoever or outright sucks in the eyes of a normie.

Even if you drew lewds or porn, if your work doesn't meet certain criteria, you won't get any real attention on it.
Nobody gives a flying fuck about your original ideas or your unique art style or characters on a blank background or if you drew it with the pen clenched between your buttcheeks.

If you want a chance of making it in art right now, as a standalone artist without any connections or any achievable projects, you must go for what everyone else does because that's what the consumers want and what "sells", since in the current era of "commercial art" we're in right now, the consumer dictates what gets made.
Blame artist for chasing clout and propagating this culture of creative bankruptcy.

Draw what you want and stop giving a shit about making it.
Go get a regular job if you want money.
Unless you're in certain circles, have your art school credentials or badly want to work for certain people, don't pursue "art as a career" at all.

Get a rough outline of what the pose communicates to you. It will be different for everyone, like how some people create a few simple shapes to "remember" the curviness of a pose, or how some will draw a line that represents the spine and some lines indicating the limbs. The general idea is just to make sure you remember what about that pose makes it unique.

You could say the same for hentai artists, but apply the logic to the "Hentai Art Scene." They want to be respected in the scene (both consumers and creators), they probably have scenarios in mind that they want to draw ( or full blown stories), and money is more of a necessity that they earn rather than something they want heaps of for "lol tits & ass." At the end of the day, they just like doing what they do.
