Apologies if the photo is too bad to see anything.

This is one of the first things i've drawn, but it just looks wrong. Drew it upside down and stuff like the sticky says, but honestly all the stuff there seems kind of advanced.
Should I get the books suggested by the sticky and hope I improve, or is there a better resource for beginners who are really, really terrible like I am?
