It doesn't matter. Saying that the orc found or stole the weapon (and presumably the loincloth as well) doesn't answer the question, it only moves it one layer upwards. Someone still made it, and that someone could work metal. Even if it was scavenged or salvaged metal, they had to nail it to the club, which they chose to do instead of cold-forging it into a spearhead.
