this might be a little hard to believe, but honestly i think the reason japanese artists are so good making comics is both due to their workflow and the black and white nature of manga, as opposed to comics which are mostly in color.
to put in simply its sort of like
mangaka team releases black and white comic weekly in a well known magazine. due to this a solid audience is formed around this recurring serialization. the mangaka is then incentivized to draw exponentially more of this certain thing . as a result there skills improve massively over the several years their comic is in serialization . a massive industry springs to facilite this process ad infinitum. then a new mangaka, building upon the works and working the editors which have persisted after the last big comic's success, now repeat the same exact process but with a better standard to build upon.

it's their insane work schedules and the intimate relationships with there audience that caused the industry to blow up. western publishers know this, even, as alot of them are trying to dip their toes in webtoons, trying to cash in on this newfound audience who dont particularly care about what their reading, but instead value something they can form a connection with through frequent, repeated publications.

lmao you faggots are wasting your time arguing over this shit. the examples you are both using are only taking into account the top 5% of manga we as westerners are exposed. There is a vast trench of shitty manga that lays undiscovered due to translator team whims.
The less commercially successful artists will cut corners because they dont have the resources big the guys have in serialized magazines. the pro artists wont have to cut corners because because they have assistant teams. its pointless to argue over this by casting large generalizations over japanese culture in general
