I usually draw bodies from imagination and then pick one of them to continue building on. desu it's probably a lazy way to do things since it's similar to aimless doodling/bodypart puzzle, that way I can listen to music at the same time etc. not a good way to learn new things. occasionally I do quickposes, I google clothing if necessary like with the conquistador.
like both you and the other guy said it would probably be a good idea to copy specific things from other artists and practice that way. will be fun to study values. I post on twitter + sometimes pixiv
