Use simple lines. C, S, and I lines.

Practice drawing with 3-dimensional shapes. Remember that each form has a direction in space. You can only truly draw the figure once you understand 3-d form. But once you understand 3-d form you can immediately draw the figure. It works both ways. Drawing the figure with geometric forms is the best way to learn to draw the figure.

Problems with your figure
1. Complicated and random lines where simple lines would've sufficed
2. No clear forms. Always ask yourself, "am i drawing a cube, sphere, or cylinder?"
3. No direction in space. Your forms lay flat on the paper. Nothing is coming towards us or away from us.

The rest of your problems with clear up once you understand form. Always think form.
