If this is matessi he has a really shit personal style but good concepts. He talks about how he is not teaching a style in his book but his style is so exaggerated it is extremely difficult to separate it from what he is trying to teach.

His other instructers have good stuff with less exaggeration like @diluc on instagram.

All of the force books seem to just be based on disney renaissance drawing style, particularly Glen Keane but I assume Keane learned from an instructor at Disney.

If you have access to NMA, John Asaro talk about a very similar concept to force oh artifically designing figures to be more dynamic and gestural, purposefully diverging from the photo ref or model you use to "improve" it. The course on NMA is called "John Asaro Painting Approach: Analysis and Overview with John Asaro". He says right away that students have a tendency to straighten out everything and make their figures dead looking.
