I dont see how painting realism (that's what this is all about) signifies having any more passion than my most "successful" paintings. I don't see how using yellow ochre for skin tones and childish iconography makes me less passionate as well. Obviously, I am talented. Y'all come across as sophomoric and ignorant regarding art when assuming somehow the painting the user posted of Scarlett Johansson is more passionate because he stayed true to the color palette and reference. I wanna paint interesting shit dude. Regardless, I don't think the argument is about a lack of passion/soul. You guys don't think I can paint because I am not a concept artist/realist. That's fine, but you guys are the ones that are limited. Almost like saying Hendrix was a sucky guitar player because he wasn't technical. That would make you look retarded. But, in the end, Idgaf. I've seen people learn to paint (realism) in 3 months using projectors. I know how easy art can be. But, I understand if you are challenged by it. 95% of the board are noobs. It would seem mystified to me too if I was completely ignorant regarding the illusive fundies and art in general. But yeah, this is not about passion/soul. It's about a bunch of hacks lusting over a level they will never attain. I've attained it.
