>I've seen AI comics. They were dogshit. By the way, the best applications of img2img I've seen were artists using their sketches in it. Guess Artists will be the ones making best use of it.
I think so too. At least for the current level of AI. I don't know what's it going to be like in the future, but the current level of AI is still, possibly useful tool for artists, a toy for everyone else.
I've been spending time in AI generation threads on /b/ and the majority of "good" content I see posted is still the stuff I posted myself. There are a few others who I suspect are artists themselves. And even the best output still has flaws if you look closely.
If you're someone who can bend the AI to your will and consistently make it create something close to your intention that still looks good you probably possess skills and knowledge the average normie doesn't.
It's kind of like photography. Anyone can point a camera and snap a photo but but there's still a massive difference between your average selfie and a portrait taken by a professional photographer.
That's the present day, anyway. The future? I don't know and won't pretend to have a crystal ball.
This picrelated isn't something I'd post as finished artwork but I could use it as a reference to make something in my own style.
