Hey guys, so my current freelance work is drying up, and I need to get to that shitty part of being a freelancer where you send out a ton of emails with your portfolio.

I never see a thread like this so I thought it would be a good idea...what companies are there for freelancers to apply to? Where do you guys look for this stuff? Have you had success on forums (my experience has provided bad paying jobs there)?

If we can get people talking about who pays what, what companies there are etc. I think it would make for some interesting/educational discussion. People are too focused on making good art and forget the business side of things.

So feel free to list stuff out. For reference of my skill level, it is I guess midtier? I've gotten work already with it for a little while, with pay ranging from 175 to 1500...I'm nearly good enough for MtG I think, but not quite yet.

Obvious big name ones:
-Magic the Gathering (pay ~800 from what I hear)
-DnD (not sure the pay)
-Applibot (again about 800 from what I hear)

Smaller companies:
-Paizo (150 to 350 from what I hear)
-Alderac Entertainment group (I've had rates from 175 to 250)
-Might and Magic (I get 400 each, but hear other people get higher)
-Fantasy Flight (apparently they only pay 100 to 150)
