Pose your rig's keys well, and don't rely on tweens.

In this short thing, I used the exact same key poses. The only thing different is the movement done inbetween. Easing can be used to make tweens look more natural, but don't rely too much on the laziness of tweening from key to key. Try doing the same ease-in and ease-out that a tween would do by hand.
Try not to animate on ones too much either. The animation can look cluttered and janky. Animating on ones can also be a huge waste of time depending on the work you're doing. Animating cycles for a vidya jame is very different than animating a couple characters having a conversation. I recommend animating on twos and then animate on ones if you need to animate a faster movement, such as a character talking really fast.
