The way you did the hair makes it look very thread like. You do not have to draw each strand of hair. Hair is much more cohesive and so you can actually render it like a set of ribbons. Your shading will be much more unified and natural if you do that.

You block in the major values, dark-light Then you come in for the detail work and add indications of strands. The image I posted is exaggerated but I think it does a good job of showing what I mean. The shading is blocked in and then only after are indications of strands drawn in.

Doing in this way is quicker and will save you a lot of time. It will also look much more natural. Again, right now, the hair looks thready, even pixelated in certain areas because you painted each strand with a 1px brush it seems.

I find hair to actually be one of the easiest things to render. There is such an easy trick to doing it. Try it out, I hope it works for you.
