Honestly, despite how retarded the project is, I have nothing against you following your dream project.
What I don't get is why it must be traditional. It makes it 1000x more complicated than it needs to be.

If I'm to be blunt, I think these limitations are a way for you to cope with the fact that you will NEVER maker this project.
The more perfect you daydream about how it's going to be made, the less you can feel guilty when you look back and realize you couldn't make the project real.

How many projects have you finished before?
Would you be able to create a webcomic of it?
A 3D animation of the scenes?
A visual novel?

Not saying you should, but are you CAPABLE of?

Not saying you should, but YOU SHOULD.
Once you have the story "completed" in a simpler format, you will have solved a million storywriting problems that you haven't thought about. You will find out why the Pokémon creators don't mess with the worldbuilding much, as its complexities will put you in a catch 22 at every corner.

Let's suppose you have made a comic about this theme and now it's very popular on the Internet.
It can lead you to two paths:
- Satisfaction. Nice, you didn't have the Ghibli animations, but you shared your vision and got recognized for it. Maybe you can make a FEW animations of the best parts just to indulge yourself;
- Inspiration. Now that you have the story visually laid out, you have a clearer roadmap to finishing your pipedream animation. And maybe people who'd be willing to help, because you advertised the project through publishing it in static form.
Or it can, once again, just inspire you to work on individual, short scenes that stand out visually and you'd like to bring to life.

Don't hide behind your autism, get your head out of your ass and face reality. For your dream, lest it remains as one.
